Hello, I'm Roman Campos also known as mell0w-m1nded on DeviantArt. By profession I am a freelance illustrator/animator but I've been known to make prop weapons for cosplayers. I'm starting this blog to showcase past work I've done as well as do a few tutorials for anyone interested in getting to prop making. I still feel like I'm at an amateur level but that's okay. I don't have access to fancy tools and material but I use what I can to make believable props. I've found that if the cosplayer can believe the prop is real enough their photos come out being more compelling.
The props and tutorials I will present are for those like me who have little experience and limited budgets but still appreciate getting the compelling look of prop prop making!
I'll post up pics of my past work as well as the cosplayers who made them look awesome as soon as I'm done compiling them.
